Food Truck Party Tonight! Food Truck Party Tonight!


I can scarcely believe that just 12 short months ago, I was wondering whether ANY food trucks would ever come to Granada Hills, and now, we're soaking in 'em.

After a brief hiatus, the lovely Smokin' Willie's BBQ Truck will be back in action tonight in front of Menchies.

Not enough for you? There's also gonna be a Food Truck Party at A Sweet Design cupcake shop from 7-10pm, with Papas Tapas, TastyMeat, Maria's Truck, Fresh & Meaty, and of course The Munchie Machine!!!

If you're a vegan or a veggie, don't be put off by all of the suspiciously meatcentric names of our visiting trucks. Smokin' Willie's is famous for its vegan options, and most other trucks have meat-free options as well.




Sweet Design is located at
17805 Chatsworth St (at the corner of Yarmouth)

Menchie's is located at the southeast corner of Chatsworth and Zelzah.



Old people will realize that the title of this post contains an homage to a song from Repo Man.

    Numero Uno called the cops on the food trucks and said that they will call the cops every time they see a food truck selling on Chatsworth. They have ruined a good thing for Granada Hills and everyone in the community should boycott their establishment.

    On what basis are they calling the cops? If the trucks are properly licensed and legally parked, there isn't much they can do about it...

    I live nearby and am going to the city on this next week, its bullshit!! these bastards must go. its nonesense when you cant park in front of your own house.. this isnt a carnaval, its a neighborhood, would you want these jack asses on you street??? yea, I didnt think so.. it will all come to an end very soon. even if I need to put my attorneys on it, it will come to an end... so live it up ....

    So are you saying that you want the residential streets of GH to go to permit parking only? What solution are you proposing? Many local business owners feel the same as you do, that the trucks create parking problems, yet others feel that the trucks and the increased traffic they provide are a boon to the local economy.

On June 1, 2020, the date when people planned to gather in Granada Hills to protest George Floyd's killing, fearful rumors began flying early. The protest was certain to be violent. The claims that it was planned as a "peaceful" protest was certain to be cover for looters.
