And then you circle and meet friends and it's a bonding and a connection. A lot of people do that with different organizations they belong to. If libraries didn't exist, and somebody proposed the idea for the first time today, would it fly? Would the idea be denounced as communist? Would the concept make it through congress? Would it exist only with the help of corporate sponsorship? Would we have the Verizon Wireless Library? Thank heavens we don't live in such a world. Libraries are here, they're free, and there's no corporate sponsors. Not only do they loan us their books, but they bring us neat little cultural events, right here in good ole' G.H. The dance group Tani & Friends will bring authentic dances, costumes and music of six Asian cultures to the Granada Hills Branch library tomorrow, August 6 at 4:00 p.m. On August 8th, Actors and Animals will perform a children's puppet show to demonstrate the care of animals, also at 4:00 p.m. The best thing about OUR library?
